As we head to the store for the pick-up order, I realize that no one is actually going to be home for dinner. It’s just the two of us.
The three-year-old is playing with a butter knife, clanking it against the table. She’s got one hand in her hair. I can tell that she’s done with the day.
Steak. Asparagus. Sub garlic parmesan fries for scalloped potatoes. Meyer Lemon Ice Box Pie. One glass of Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs. 2019 Schrader RBS To Kalon Cabernet. Decaf coffee.
Thank goodness for a third day. Thinking about adding a fourth.
