  1. The sound of rain dripping onto everything.

  2. This really is the last time I’ll need to be in this office for this kind of thing. I tell him that it’s hard to believe my time here is done.

  3. The to-do list is long.

  5. I feel his worry, and worry for him even more. Something about it doesn’t feel right.

  6. Clean your aura?

  7. Too many coincidences.

  8. I count the eggs again before I open the front door. Still five.

  9. He reminds me that he turned out okay in the end.

  10. I really want to go to sleep, but I can’t. I’m going to blame it on the half-caff.
