  2. Even fifteen more minutes in the morning to putter around.

  4. It’s already 74 degrees in the office and it’s just barely past 9 a.m.

  5. You think you want to start a side hustle or quit your job, I’ll be your hype girl.

  6. Rules and dependencies and I think our lives are going to change.

  7. If everyone is thinking the same thing but no one is willing to have the courage to say it out loud, then we’re complicit in the state of chaos that frustrates us. It also means that we haven’t done as great a job as we think in creating a culture that fosters transparent discourse, deep listening, and trust.

  8. Seventy-nine degrees inside.

  9. One square of a chocolate while looking through the trees and listening to the birds. A rush of gratitude.

  2. The fog is low and thick, and the air is cold. I crack the window to cool the room down just enough to tempt the goosebumps.

  4. I look at the clock and estimate how much time I have left before everyone else begins to arrive. I have at least 38-43 minutes. That’s enough to drink a cup of coffee and make my list, and maybe send an email or two in the dark quiet.

  5. Meeting. Meeting. Meeting. Meeting. Do I want to be in this meeting? No. Please, no. Meeting.

  6. I bring my notebook with me because I want to write my down my thoughts—to go from gap to gain.
