WHO I AM
I'M A FREELANCE WRITER AND PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE SUBURBS OF CHICAGO.
I have a gift for holding sacred space, for deep listening, and for seeing the ordinary in extraordinary ways. I love the feeling of heat in my hands, the weight of linen across my body, the warmth of knotty pine beneath my feet. If I could be anything and do anything, it would be exactly what I'm doing now: Being a wife and a mother of 3 living out her creative journey–but maybe with a view of a vineyard from the kitchen window, camera and pen always in hand. I'm interested in exploring creativity, food and wine, literature and writing, and all things beautiful.
If I had to summarize myself in a list of textures, it would go something like this: hand-scraped wood, shiny brass, natural linen, cotton, velvet, leather and lace.
Really, I'm just a storyteller.
I try to tell the truest of true stories, in the most beautiful way possible.
I'm taking the Certified Sommelier Exam in 2017 and daydreaming about moving our family to California wine country. You can read my lifestyle blog, SOMMERSALT, here.
WHAT I DO
I BLEND MY LOVE OF WORDS AND A TALENT FOR CREATING VISUALLY STUNNING IMAGES TO CREATE AUTHENTIC AND ENGAGING CONTENT.
I guide businesses and brands to their authentic voice, helping them connect with their audience through engaging storytelling.
I develop unique imagery and copy that communicate the truest essence of you and your brand.
Currently you'll also find me working on my literary magazine, BLACKBERRY: a magazine, collaborating with Robin Sandomirsky for liberated lines, writing freelance articles, photographing food, restaurants, brands, and beautiful people, and developing content for Annnapurna Living by Carrie-Anne Moss.
In the past I've published personal essays, creative nonfiction, and poetry for a variety of online and print publications, as well as created content for and facilitated online creative writing courses.
